Based on recent social media posts, singer Chinmayi Sripaada did not blame Brahmins for the Canada Diwali fire mishap. Her comments were critical of Indians living abroad who ignore local laws about fireworks, not a specific caste or religious group.

Bison Spoils Dude Record Run / Balakrishna - Nayanthara combo Back

Dhruv Vikram- Maro Bison is a hurdle to Pardeep Ranganathan's Dude repeating Dragon success at box office.
 Dragon is the biggest grosser for Pradeep Ranganathan with a total of around 150 Cr worldwide. His latest film, Dude, had a bigger opening weekend than Dragon, but it is unlikely to surpass Dragon’s total collections by the end of its run. 

Directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, the film, Dude, maintains a clear lead over Dragon for the first few days and shows a very strong trend until Diwali, but after that, the movie slows down at the box office, not achieving the expected jump on the 2nd weekend.

In the Tamil market, Dhruv Vikram’s Bison leads over Pradeep’s film, while Kiran Abbavaram’s K-Ramp attracts a larger audience in the Telugu market.

Overall, after the 2nd weekend, Dude’s collections are close to 105 Cr gross, and if this trend continues, the film is projected to close around 120 Cr, indicating that it is unlikely to reach Dragon’s box office numbers. 

Dragon (Return of the Dragon in Telugu) will continue to be the biggest grosser of Pradeep Ranganathan.

The above stats are just a comparison between Pradeep Ranganathan’s films, but if we look only at Dude collecting more than 100 Cr gross for the budget, it is a properly profitable venture and a very successful film as well.

Actors Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nayanthara are reportedly set to reunite for their fourth film together, a historical action drama directed by Gopichand Malineni. The untitled project, referred to as #NBK111, was announced in 2025 and will be the duo's first film since 2018.

But if Asif Ali gets the coveted award, it would be his very first.

Fans are hopeful that Mammootty could win the award for his stellar performance as Kodumon Potti in Bramayugam . The veteran shed his megastar image and transformed into an ageing patriarch in Rahul Sadasivan’s folklore horror thriller. The film had won the critics’ approval and audience's appreciation. He had secured the award previously for his performance in director Lijo Jose Pellissery’s film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam in the year 2022. According to TOI report, the platform is expected to release the movie on November 14, potentially offering it in multiple languages beyond the Tamil and Telugu versions that premiered in theatres. From my sources, Director Adhik and keertherswaran approached Illayraja legal team to give NOC for months and Illayaraja team kept delaying the NOC . Makers already agreed to give royalty to owner of song which is legally music labels which owned the audio rights. Generally music lables gives royalty to authors of the song ie Music director and Lyricists and finally post 2012 even singers of song got the status of author. Law also made it clear it is duty of owner of song to share the royalties of the song to authors if the song is used by someone for commercial purpose. So process is producers approach music label for song usage for commercial basis. They negotiate a price and agree on terms. Music label then pay royalties to author of songs as per legal terms . Producers no way are obligated to take permissions or get NOC from author. However Illayaraja legal team claims they never signed any legal terms to music label. About reuse of their song in any format… Back then (When these songs were made ) no such legal clauses existed which is grey area. AR Rahman from 1990s was first to include this clause legally . Rahman, who explicitly included clauses to retain copyright in his early contracts, Ilayaraja often did not have such provisions in his agreements with producers between the 1970s and 1990s. As a result, film producers and music companies like Echo Recording and Sony Music claim that they acquired the copyright to these songs. Ilayaraja maintains that he has always retained the copyright, and any agreements with producers only constituted a license for a specific use, such as for audio cassettes. He has consistently fought to defend his creative ownership and ensure that his economic and moral rights as the original composer are protected. The outcome of these ongoing legal battles will significantly impact the rights and royalties of music composers in the Indian film industry.
