Rashmika in Kerala Athrapally / Bahubali EPIC Hindi Flops/ Dude on November 14th.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude was released this Diwali, and it posted strong numbers during the holidays and slowed down after. Now, the latest news is that the film’s OTT streaming details are out.

Directed by debutant Keethiswaran, the film collected around 110 Cr gross worldwide. With Dude, Pradeep Ranganathan scored a hat-trick of 100 Cr grossers, and the film is all set to make its OTT debut now.

The film’s digital rights were bagged by Netflix for all languages, and the movie will stream from 14th November. It maintains a 28-day theatrical window like any South Indian movie.

Made as a lovely entertainer, the film also stars Premalu fame Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, with the latest sensation Sai Abhyankkar composing the music.

National crush Rashmika Mandanna is juggling multiple projects. Her recent release was Thamma, and her next film, The Girlfriend, is set to hit cinemas on November 7, 2025. Now, her upcoming movie Mysaa has officially entered the shooting phase.

It’s been announced that the pan-Indian film has begun filming today in the forest area of Athirappilly, Kerala. Directed by debutant Rawindra Pulle, the film will see the Pushpa actress playing a Gond tribal woman.

Rashmika’s first-look poster, which was recently unveiled, showcases her in an intense avatar. The makers describe Mysaa as an emotional action drama. Actor Tarak Ponnappa has been roped in for a key role, though further details remain under wraps.

Produced by Anil, Ajay Sayyapureddy, and Srikanth Sathi under the UnFormula Films banner, the movie features music by Jakes Bejoy.

Rashmika Mandanna has had a busy year with four releases so far, including the Telugu film “Kubera.” Her fifth release of 2025, “The Girlfriend,” is set to arrive in theaters this weekend (November 7).

While the film’s trailer has generated curiosity, it still needs stronger pre-release buzz.

Since it is a heroine-centric love story told from a woman’s perspective, the film might face an uphill task in drawing audiences initially. In recent times, several female-led films have struggled to secure strong openings.

The going has been tough for S S Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Epic, especially in Hindi. With a playing time of a staggering 3 hours and 45 minutes, the period action drama is a big turnoff for the box office.Producer & eminent film business analyst Girish Johar feels it is not all a loss for Baahubali: The Epic. “It has amassed around Rs. 18 crores nett, across all languages, in two days, domestic market, which I feel is a very good fair number. This is a first of its kind where two parts of the film are released as one film, kind of a repeat run but of a different kind. Both the earlier parts were watched by large section of the audiences earlier. So, a technical re-release now is also still being cherished by its fans. This move by its makers will add more strength to Baahubali being a cult film, for all time.”

Taran Adarsh Trade Guru feels the promotional pitch for Baahubali in Hindi was wrong. “It should have been promoted as a film that is a solo film, not just a repeat run. A lot of people are under the impression that it's a repeat run and that's the reason why they are staying away. The fact that both the parts have been combined and made into one film is unknown to many. So, if at all, they would have promoted the film well in the Hindi market, I am sure it would have met with a better response in the Hindi market.”

However, according to Taran Adarsh, there is a silver lining. “The Baahubali epic has met with a fantastic response in the Telugu states. It's packed everywhere, running to packed houses. The response is phenomenal. The Telugu version is doing superlative business.”

Gautham Vasudev Menon - Vetrimaaran- Ravi Mohan other lineup / Rashmika's Chennai Love irks Kannada Guys

Finally Gautham Vasudev Menon has ben able to get an investor to claear the debts of Dhruv Natchithram and in his own words the film should be in thetres by July- August. Fortunately Chiyaan has not changed a bit and as we learn GVM the director will be unlocked after this. Tirupur Subraamanian Exhibitors Chief had already said that the film will be given the widest possible . After this, GVM has 3 projects lined up- Karthi, Ravi Mohan, and Santhanam.

Ravi Mohan project script is fully penned by Vetrimaaran and producers are very eager to start it. Santhanam project is a proper family comedy entertainer. Karthi film is still in discussions.

Gautam Menon about Dhruva Natchathiram Release

“Only after the release of the film will I do my next work.” I haven’t even signed anything in acting as well. We’ve shown the film to the investor & he said the film is good. We are sorting out the legal issues now. July/August release for sure.”

Rashmika Mandanna has yet to make up her mind as whether she is Chennai’s darling or Hyderabad but all the same she is not a firebrand Kannadiga. Though by birth she was born in Karnataka and her parents are Kannadigas, her school memories are of Chennai. Dressed in a pastel outfit, she charmed the audience with her energy and presence. After the Kubera promo event, she took to social media to share her experience and wrote an emotional note expressing her connection with the city.
In the post, Rashmika mentioned that Chennai holds a special place in her heart because she spent her childhood there. She also said she was happy to begin the Kuberaa promotions in a city that feels personally close to her. However, the post didn’t sit well with some Kannada fans. The backlash centers on her claim of having “spent her childhood in Chennai.”

Many netizens from Karnataka pointed out that Rashmika was born and raised in Karnataka, where she also completed her education. They felt her statement downplayed her roots. This isn’t the first time Rashmika has faced criticism for similar reasons. In the past, she referred to Hyderabad as feeling like home and admitted she hadn’t watched the Kannada blockbuster Kantara.

These instances have led to accusations that she’s distancing herself from her native culture to appeal more broadly to non-Kannada audiences.

Ajith's GBU booking slow / Rashmika out of Prabhas film / Ananya Nagalla Telugu oomph gal

Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly trailer has received mixed responses from fans, but the film is trending well with its ticket sales on BMS. The action biggie is all set to arrive in the theaters on April 10, and it has registered ticket pre-sales of 183K. Vidaamuyarchi’s final pre-sales on BMS were 689K in total. Currently, Good Bad Ugly has registered only 26% of Vidaamuyarchi’s final pre-sales on BMS. It would be interesting to see if GBU picks up pace on BMS and overpowers Ajith Kumar’s last release.

Check out the ticket pre-sales for Kollywood films on BMS three days before their release.

  • Leo: 898K
  • Jailer344K
  • The Greatest Of All Time: 325K
  • Good Bad Ugly: 183K*
  • VidaaMuyarchi: 166K
  • Vettaiyan: 141K

Will Good Bad Ugly Enter Kollywood Top 5?

Good Bad Ugly needs to beat Vidaamuyarchi‘s total ticket sales of 689K to enter the top 5 ticket pre-sales for Kollywood films on BMS. However, it would be impossible to touch the top 3 spots owned by Leo, Jailer, and The Greatest Of All Time, which registered more than 1 million ticket pre-sales on BMS.

About Good Bad Ugly

Helmed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film stars Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, alongside Arjun Das, Yogi Babu, Rahul Dev, and others. The film is all set to release in the theaters on April 10 and will clash with Sunny Deol’s Jaat in Hindi in the theaters.

According to CineJosh, Rashmika Mandanna is no longer the female lead in Spirit. She was nearly confirmed for the role, but apparently, one commercial failure was enough for her to be dropped. Their source claims that, in the industry, commercial success often outweighs talent when it comes to casting heroines. If she had been cast, she was expected to receive a remuneration of INR 4 crores, as per the source. The same source also claimed that Rashmika has open dates from June, and things could still change. She might end up being the heroine of Spirit after all.

While there is no official confirmation yet, here’s our take on the rumor: Rashmika Mandanna is a top-tier star. With a strong pan-India appeal, she enjoys recognition that arguably surpasses some top-tier Bollywood actresses, thanks to her widespread popularity in South Indian cinema. In an industry where commercial failures are part of the game, one flop shouldn’t be enough to sideline someone as visible and bankable as Rashmika. That’s why we believe there’s a strong chance this news is just a rumor.

Heroine of Rs 5 crore budget films - Originally a software engineer by profession, Ananya chose to chase her dream of becoming an actor. She took her first step with the short film Shaadi, but it was her big-screen debut in Mallesham that truly put her on the map. Her graceful traditional look and effortlessly natural performance made a lasting impression.

Since then, Ananya has taken on a variety of roles in films like Play Back and Vakeel Saab, gradually building a strong portfolio. She continued to explore diverse characters in offbeat, content-rich projects such as Tantra, Pottel, the web series Bahishkarana, and Srikakulam Sherlock Holmes.
