Mahavatar
Narsimha has become a major success in Hindi dubbed theatres, surpassing
several big releases without heavy promotions. The film has now reportedly
collected over ₹155 crores in Hindi, edging past Salaar, which earned around
₹153 crores. This collection also surpasses the Hindi versions of Saaho and
Baahubali: The Beginning, both starring Prabhas. However, it still trails
Rajinikanth’s 2.0, which leads with ₹189 crores, leaving a gap of ₹34 crores
for Mahavatar Narsimha to close. Pushpa 2: The Rule remains the
highest-grossing Hindi dubbed film at ₹830 crores. While Mahavatar Narsimha may
not reach that mark, it has a chance to surpass 2.0 in the coming weeks thanks
to minimal competition. Despite the recent release of War 2 and Coolie,
Mahavatar Narsimha continues to enjoy steady shows. War 2 is already losing
screenings due to poor attendance, and Coolie is not expected to impact its
Hindi market run. With two Telugu films and two Hindi films set to release on
September 5, 2025, along with a Tamil solo release, Mahavatar Narsimha still
has time to improve its collections. North Indian theatres might even extend
its shows in place of struggling films like War 2.
