 The latest exciting news is that Kaithi is being remade in Malaysia as BANDUAN. 

Dato Aaron Aziz takes the lead as Dali in this film, directed by Kroll Azry and produced by NTOM along with Dream Warrior Pictures. The Tamil Cinema fans are astonished with the news of Kaithi’s remake getting released in Malaysia.

Banduan is set to hit theaters later this year, i.e., November 6, 2025, and it is going to be a wild ride full of action.

The tale of the film centers around Dilli, a former inmate eager to reunite with his daughter for the first time after getting out of jail. But things go sideways for him when he finds himself in the thick of a major drug bust led by Inspector Bejoy. 

When the whole police squad finds themselves in a tough spot, Dilli has to team up with the authorities, leading to an exciting fight for survival, sacrifice, and redemption.

As per the latest updates, Tamil star comedian Yogi Babu has joined AA22xA6’s cast. He has already begun shooting for his portions in Mumbai alongside Allu Arjun and popular actress Mrunal Thakur. It’ll be interesting to see how Atlee is going to showcase Yogi Babu’s comic antics in this sci-fi adventurous thriller.

AA22xA6 also features Rashmika Mandanna in a prominent role. The film is being produced on a massive scale by the Sun Pictures banner. Young Tamil composer Sai Abhyankar is scoring the music for this visual wonder. The ongoing buzz reveals that the makers are planning to release the movie as a Sankranthi 2027 festive treat.

Backed by Sun Pictures, the film is expected to use controlled sets and later integrate high-quality graphics and VFX. The aim is to offer a unique theatrical experience, unlike regular mass entertainers. With Yogi Babu on board, comedy is likely to have an important role in the story. However, with Allu Arjun as the central character, it remains to be seen how much screen time the comedian will receive. After massive hits like Pushpa 2: The Rule for Allu Arjun and Jawan for Atlee in 2023, this collaboration is being viewed as a potential blockbuster. Expectations are already high. Fans are now waiting for the official promos and updates to get a glimpse of what AA22xA6 has to offer at the box office.

Basil Joseph after Parasakthi the Tamil film starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Sudha Kongara is now featuring in Sirai. The film, which also marks producer SS Lalit Kumar's son LK Akshay Kumar's debut, has been titled Sirai. Vikram Prabhu joining hands with filmmaker Suresh Rajakumari for his directorial debut stars Anantha as the female lead, opposite Vikram’s character. It also marks the Tamil debut of Malayalam actor Anishma Anilkumar, of I Am Kathalan fame. The upcoming film is based on a story by director Tamizh, who is best known for 2022's Taanakkaran.

In an earlier interview with Cinema Express, director Suresh revealed that Sirai is based on a real incident that happened to Tamizh while he was working as a police officer. "It follows a cop as he takes a young accused to court. During their journey, he gets to learn about the accused’s past. The incident dates back to 2003, and we looked for the real young man to ask him about the case to learn what happened to him. But we could not find him. Therefore, we had to fictionalise the story," he added. Akshay Kumar stars as the young man who stands accused of committing a crime.

Suresh has previously worked with Vetri Maaran as his associate since 2015’s Visaranai.

The technical team of Sirai includes composer Justin Prabhakaran, cinematographer Madhesh Manickam and editor Philomin Raj. SS Lalit Kumar is backing the film under his Seven Screen Studios banner.

 

James Cameron to annouce SS Rajamouli film / Vijay Sethupathi joins SSR/ Dude Pradeep Diwali Bomb

 Vijay Sethupathi has been added to SS Rajamouli- Mahesh Babu cast and shooting will start from January next year. VS currently busy with Puri Jagganath film will move to a film with Pandiraj that is produced by Lyca Produuctions. At present he has no other commitments or offers from any other makers. Thalaivan Thalaivii will premiere on Amazon Prime Video, starting August 22. Besides its original Tamil language, the film will also stream in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada as well. At the box office, the film collected over Rs. 75 crores in Tamil Nadu, while its Telugu version (Sir Madam) registered only an average run. With its digital debut, the response from streaming audiences will be closely watched.Joining the leads are Yogi Babu, Roshini Haripriyan, Deepa Shankar, and RK Suresh. Sathya Jyothi Films backed the project, while Santhosh Narayanan scored the music.

After the mighty blockbuster RRR, Indian cinema’s biggest director, SS Rajamouli, has teamed up with superstar Mahesh Babu for a globe-trotting action-adventure tentatively titled SSMB 29. Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead. On Mahesh Babu’s birthday, Rajamouli announced that a big reveal is scheduled for November 2025.

Media reports now suggest there is a solid reason behind the delay. Around November, esteemed Hollywood director James Cameron will be in India to promote his next big outing, Avatar 3. Rajamouli, along with his team, is reportedly trying to get Cameron to do the honors for the glimpse release.

At an awards event in Los Angeles, James Cameron spoke highly of Rajamouli, particularly praising RRR. Cameron also told Rajamouli that he would extend his support if needed. Hence, the latest speculation is gaining traction. If Cameron launches the first look or glimpse, it will mark a new chapter in Indian cinema and enhance our visibility among Western audiences.

 

The other day, it was officially announced that filmmaker Vignesh Shivan’s movie, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Kriti Shetty, is set to release on October 17, 2025, as a Diwali special.

This led many to doubt the release of the actor’s other movie, Dude, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Keerthiswaran. It was also announced for a Diwali release, but many thought it might be postponed.

However, today, the ‘Dude’ makers cleared the air by releasing a poster that confirmed the movie is still on track for its Diwali release. An update is scheduled for 06:03 PM today, which many believe will be about the release date.

So, both LIK and Dude are coming to entertain audiences this Diwali, giving double the entertainment.

Priya Prakash Varrier played a key role in the film Good Bad Ugly. Yesteryear’s actress Simran, too, made a cameo appearance. Interestingly, Priya Prakash Varrier danced to an old song featuring Simran. The song was “Thottu Thottu Pesam.” The original song featured Simian and Raju Sundaram.

In this version of Priya Prakash Varrier, Arjun Das danced along with her. The similarities between Priya Prakash and then Simran, Priya Prakash dancing and swirling her navel similar to Simran, have made people make comparisons and discuss them on social media. The song was an item number in Mammootty film Ethirum Puthurim directed by Ramani. The item song was planned with Rambha but as she demanded high, Simr Soundarya was replaced by Sangita as female lead. Music was by Vidyasagar.an was cast instead.

The Atlee – Allu Arjun project is not what was told to Salman Khan. We hear that Allu Arjun was told a subject which is one hero film and it was kept pending as there was issues over payment- profit sharing with Sun Pictures. Salman Khan project needed another hero and as prices were high for South heroes, the project was shelved. Salman himself has said about it and it can be revived later. The current project has only AA and it is not a reincarnation subject. The story moves simultaneously in two  universes.

Moving towards Prabhas Spirit, Kareena Kapoor is only confirmed actor to  play the baddie. Deepika Padukone – Mrunal Thakur for female lead , Unni Mukundan – Vijay Sethupathi, Sanjay Dutt (elder Brother ) are in talks. Once they are confirmed an official announcement will be out with a pooja.

There will be no summer release for Prabhas Rajasaab. The team is left with a little talkie part and the song shooting. Many CGI studios are involved with the film, and the output has been coming out well. Thaman is wrapping up the songs, and they will be shot as soon as possible. A new release date will be released soon (Second Half of 2025)

More from SSMB29 team, they has locked in their desired release date- March 25th, 2027, the RRR release date. They might even announce this in the promotional video announcement, which is what I’ll get into now. They have shot a two-minute video with film footage, which will serve as the proper announcement tease for the film. Dhanush directed Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK) will be arriving on Prime Video on 21st March and it’s expected to receive a big response after OTT release. NEEK was a commercial failure due to its poor release date. NEEK started its journey on a fair note by earning 1.15 crores. However, since word-of-mouth was mixed, it failed to show a desired jump over the weekend. On weekdays, things went downhill, and a total of 6.38 crores came on board. During the second week, things became worse, with the collection reaching a low of 7 lakh on a single day. n the second week, NEEK earned a dismal 1.05 crores. Overall, it raked in a poor total of 7.43 crore net at the Indian box office in 14 days, as per Sacnilk. The budget of the film is Rs 12 crores.

I was speechless hearing the TV news that portion of Shivaji Ganesan’s house was going to be auctioned. My friend DeviMani ( both of us are few of the fading group called Sivaji Fans or Appa’s favourites) was first to inform me. I still cannot understand how Rs 9 crores due to the disputing party became an issue and how did Rs 3 crore loan be allowed to go up to Rs 9 crore ? Many may rush to portray Dushyanth as the black sheep of Sivaji family and responsible for the famous Annai Illam on Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan road pave way to a new owner ( partly ). Vijay Antony who had got the title Parasakthi from South Indian Film Chamber has questioned how Dawn Pictures the Producers of Sivakarthikeyan Parasakthi got it from Tamil film Producers Council. If the title is renewed by AVM, then South Indian Film Chamber would have asked him to get AVM permission but this did not happen ? So the title validity has lapsed and the AVM letter is just a publicity stunt ? Dawn Pictures even got censor certification for the Parasakthi teaser. Bollywood Hungama reports ; If sources are to be believed, Priyanka Chopra will walk away with a staggering Rs 30 crores fee, the highest ever paid to a female actor in Hindi cinema, for her female lead in S S Rajamouli’s untitled jungle adventure starring Mahesh Babu.This fee, reportedly less than what Mrs Jonas had asked for, came after months of negotiation between the two teams. “This is why they took so long to announce her participation in the project. In the latest hearing about the case filed by Netflix asking the court to reject the application filed by Dhanush company as there was no copyright violation by the streaming platform and Nayanthara ( the video was her wedding and life journey), Dhanush lawyer P S Raman argued that at by using a 28-second BTS video, Nayanthara and her team broke their original agreement when they signed the film contract. He said that the lawsuit is valid and can proceed in court. Dhanush has filed a Rs 10 crore lawduit on Nayanthara for using clips from his production film Nannum Rowdy Thaan.
