Double whammy for Aishwarya Rajesh

Actress Aishwarya Rajesh won the Best Actress award for her performance in the film K / P Ranasingam at the 18th International Film Festival in Chennai and the Government's Kalaimamani Award.Actress Aishwarya Rajesh on the award -

Music director Sam D Raj turns hero - CIFF comes to a close

 Sam D Raj is to compose music and play the lead in the film directed by Pa Pandian. Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) which came to an end gave Endravadhu oru Naal, directed by Vetri Duraiswamy, the best Tamil feature film award.

Sam had compsed music for Yemali and Numgambakkam among others is to play the lead and score music in film directed by Pandian who directed Call Taxi.Bala Rosaiah cranks the camera.

18th Chennai International Film festival (CIFF) on the closing day announced that Endravadhu oru Naal, directed by Vetri Duraiswamy, was  the best Tamil feature film and it's cinematographer Shanmugha Sundaram the best cameraman. Chiyangal, directed by Vaigarai Balan, won the second best Tamil feature film award. Actress Aishwarya Rajesh received a special mention award for her role in the film Ka Pae Ranasingham .  The active involvement of AVM K Shanmugham was a big assest. The Master Class for students from experts of various crafts of film making was of big use to the participants.
