DUlquer ti share Lokah Profits with Crew / Lingusamy to Direct Composer Vidyasagar son

Producer Dulquer Salmaan is a very happy man. Unlike many other producers who believe they owe their team nothing after having paid their stipulated remunerations, Dulquer has decided to share the Lokah profits with his cast and crew.

Although Dulquer doesn’t want to tomtom his generosity, a source from the team informed this writer, “Dulquer was not able to pay any of the actors or technicians their market price. They all worked at a token remuneration, or for free, for the love of cinema and Dulquer, not necessarily in that order. Now it is time for Dulquer to share the profits with the entire team. He is not doing anyone a favour. He feels this is the way the business of cinema should work.”

At the success meet, Dulquer addressed long-standing criticism about how mainstream cinema often caters to the male gaze. Acknowledging this issue, he credits the film’s screenwriter, actor Santhy Balachandran, for bringing an authentic woman’s voice to the story. “Santhy, thank you for giving us a woman’s voice in this film,” he said. “We’re often told our films are written and shot through the male gaze. I don’t even want to use the word ‘female’ here… If there’s a woman superhero or superstar today, and we’ve represented her right, all the credit goes to Santhy B.”

Dulquer also reflects on the scale of the film’s success, admitting it was unlike anything he had experienced in his career so far. “We’re still trying to process what’s happening. For us, Lokah always felt like a very intimate film it almost came across like a big-budget indie. We had to bring Jakes Bejoy in to make it more commercial,” he explained. “I’ve acted in over 40 films, but I’ve never experienced this level of reception as a lead actor. Thank you to all the audiences for accepting Lokah.”

Pawan Kalyan OG First ticket Bought for Rs 5 Lakhs / Lokesh Drops Sam / Lokah in Hindi

Now another twist comes with Kaithi 2’s music director choice. A few days back, Sam CS said in an interview that Lokesh said that only he needs to compose Kaithi 2.

However, in his latest media interaction, Lokesh Kanagaraj said that he will not direct a film without Anirudh, and the latter will be the music director for all of his films. This means that the music of Kaithi 2 is also confined to Anirudh, which will definitely hurt Sam CS and even audiences too.

Lokah is a 5-Part Epic Franchise

The director reveals that Lokah is planned as a 5-part movie saga! All five stories were locked even before Chandra went on the floors in part one. Right from the opening scene of the very first film, there is a hidden clue about the ultimate villain of the series.

With the astonishing success of Lokah, the audiences are excited about the other films, and they will expect very big and grand films from this franchise.

The film was made on around a 35 Cr budget, but its visual quality has stunned everyone as it was so brilliant. Many felt that even movies with more than a 100 Cr budget fail to bring such quality.

The team has now confirmed that the movie will soon be released in Hindi. While the exact date hasn’t been revealed, the announcement itself is a big push, especially since the film continues to add shows in multiple centers due to audience demand.

If the Hindi version clicks, it could open new ground for the film at the national box office. It would also mark another milestone for Malayalam cinema breaking barriers across languages.

Apart from Kalyani Priyadarshan, the cast includes Naslen, Sandy Master, Tovino Thomas, Sunny Wayne, and Dulquer Salmaan, who also produced the film. Music is by Jakes Bejoy.

The film, produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films and directed by Dominic Arun, has collected around 80 Cr gross in 5 days, and it will easily do more than 200 Cr gross in its full run.

Among the two, Lokah has clearly won over audiences more.ctor in a never-before-seen avatar. Ticket sales reflect this trend as well. Over the past 24 hours, Lokah sold more than 2.98K tickets on BookMyShow, while Param Sundari recorded around 1.50K, roughly half the numbers of the Malayalam superhero movie.

While Param Sundari has received mixed reviews, Lokah is being praised across the board.

The superhero film is expected to see even stronger numbers on Sunday, with momentum likely to continue into the coming week. Directed by Dominic Arun, the film is produced by Dulquer Salmaan. Keerthy Suresh father Suresh is the producer and person who sounded clap for Lal’s first film and Lokah’s heroine’s father Priyadatshan has worked as Director for many film produced by Suresh.

Actress Keerthy Suresh took to social media today and showered praised on Mohanlal for his newly released Malayalam film Hridayapoorvam and Kalyani Priyadarsha for her movie Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra. As fans would know, Hridayapoorvam brings back the celebrated duo of veteran director Sathyan Anthikad and Malayalam cinema legend Mohanlal, offering a blend of nostalgia and contemporary storytelling. Lokah, on the other hand, breaks new ground as Malayalam cinema’s first female superhero film.

Janhvi Kapoor has been surviving in Hindi cinema with the tag of glamour doll and the daughter of Sridevi. The young beauty has delivered more than a half a dozen films in the past two years. She had big hopes on Param Sundari, her recent release. The film opened to decent reviews but the box-office numbers are not encouraging. The opening and weekend numbers indicate that Param Sundari is one more debacle for the actress in her career.

Though the trailer looked promising, the audience showed no interest to watch the film. Param Sundari is also a boring attempt that has Siddharth Malhotra playing the lead role. Janhvi Kapoor was very confident on the film and she promoted the film on all the platforms but the result was disappointing. The actress is shooting for Ram Charan’s Peddi which is her next biggie from South. She also has Varun Dhawan’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari which is slated for October 2nd release.

Coolie is chasing a never-before South Cinema record.

Till now, no film has collected a double-digit gross in all 5 southern states: Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala. Rajinikanth’s Coolie now has a chance of chasing this never-before South Cinema record.

The film starting with a double-digit opening in Tamil Nadu is obvious, and in Kerala, the advance sales have already crossed the 5 Cr mark, with high chances for a 10 Cr+ start. Karnataka advances have crossed the 4 Cr mark, with full-fledged bookings yet to open.

So, a double-digit opening for the film in Karnataka is also certain, and Coolie has a higher chance of opening with a double-digit gross opening in Telugu states as well.

For any film, this chance is very rare, but Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie has a high chance of achieving this. Even Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 has failed to achieve this, as the film opened in Kerala with a single-digit number.
