Carnatic Divas Ranjani- Gayatri sing for Illaiyaraaja

 

Carnatic Divas Ranjani and Gayatri sang a song for Illaiyaraaja for his composition in the film Maayoonae . It is the title track for te film and lyrics are by Raaja himself. One of the lines -"You accept the task of not correcting Theora and lie down without stopping the temple wealth from being looted ..!"

Produced by Arunmozhi Manikkam on behalf of DoubleMine Productions, the film is scripted and produced in the new movie 'Mayon' mystery thriller genre. Directed by Kishore. Actor Tanya Ravichandran has teamed up with actor Sibiraj to play the protagonist of the story. Along with them, veteran actor Dato 'Radharavi, director and actor K. S. Ravi Kumar, Bhagwati Perumal alias Bucks and many others have acted. Filmed by Ramprasad, the film is composed by Ilayaraja.

The duo had sung for Server Sundaram whose music was by Santos Narayaann. The divas tweeted -  What an unforgettable experience on the day of Varalaksmi Pooja! Will Sibiraj- Tanya get a break with Maayon ?

 

Sibiraj's career that hit a roadblock has Maayon ,  is hoping that a treasure hunt adventure film produced by Double Meaning Productions Arun Mozhi Manickom at a big budget and has Illaiyaraja music to bring  him back to circulation. . Tanya Ravichandran too banks on this film to bring her to focus. Sibiraj and Tamya play a part of team of archeologists that set out to unravel the mysteries of the ancient temples in Tamil Nadu. Intermingled is the tale of idol smuggling. Padnabhapuram palace, Gingee Fort, Mahabalipuram caves, Keeladi all figure in this film shot extensively in Maya Maalai near Pudukottai.

Debut director Kishore N with Ram Prasad cinematography and Balasubramnian art direction - Vinodh JD VFX to add to the film value. Producer Arun had produced Watchman with GV Prakash and Psycho  with Udhaynidhi Stalin as hero. The teaser had 1 millon views. Radha Ravi and K S Ravikumar are in pivotal roles.
