So what do all these stories have in common?

• They’re all deeply rooted, and driven purely by content.
• They don’t rely on massive budgets or huge star casts, instead caring about content and engagement value.
• They don’t scream to be seen- they invite you in with a strong USP.

All six of these films were highly profitable, despite all of them being flawed (Barring Paranthu Po). They prove one thing clearly:

• To truly satisfy an audience, you don’t need to commercialize rooted stories.
• You need emotional value, a fresh-enough script, and a team that cares.

Each of these films stays within its world and creates something beautiful out of emotional journeys and everyday struggles. After so many larger-than-life tales, it feels refreshing to see characters who may not live like us, but who feel like us. And that emotional connection is everything.

In fact, these kinds of films are now three times more popular than they were just a couple of years ago. Producers denied Oh My Kadavule right away simply because it’s a love story and not an action thriller.

Now do not think that Tamil audience are roting for Family dramas and so start producing family dramas. We have seen family dramas fall by the side in this year itself.

For an action - romance to click root the story in emotion that connect with audience. Keep aside the thought that only if you treat a subject from a commercial angle, will audience watch it.

 After Saiyaara that became a hit without any publicity,, Mahavatar Narsimha‘s animated film that is creating a storm in North markets as well as in South, Hombale films the producer of this Kannada film had it dubbed into major languages and after first day response of 70 % occupancy, saw 200 % jump on Day 2 and by today it is all over the theatres. The religious content has worked big and surprise is that no animated film in India has got such a response. Hombale Films presents and Kleem Productions have officially unveiled the lineup for their ambitious animated franchise,  the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe. Fahadh Faasil has once again said that after retirement he plans to settle down in Barcelona and be a Uber driver. He wants to drive people across Spain. Not just drive them around . “Absolutely. We were in Barcelona a few months ago. It'll only happen after people are done with me, you know? Jokes apart, just to drive someone from one place to another, witnessing someone's destination—I think that's a beautiful thing. I still do that every time I get a chance. His Tamil film Mareesan with Vadivelu has been released. On the professional front, Fahadh Faasil is far from retirement. The actor is currently busy with a line-up of high-profile projects, including Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, Don’t Trouble The Trouble, Karate Chandran, and Patriot, among others.

So this poster firstly clears the rumor that the film is getting postponed, and it is in fact a “Dude Diwali Blast”. This means it will clash with Bison and Karrupu.

Coolie Trailor to please Hindi Audience - Vivek film in limbo / Dhanush Kuberaa globally trending

 On August 1` the trailor of Coolie is coming out and this is only to please PEN the Hindi distributor. Lokesh wanted to skip a trailor as he felt it could either give away the plot or could send wrong expectations. Instead he wanted only a promo of 15 seconds released in intervals. PEN felt otherwise as Bollywood promotions thrive on trailors and they have a selfish reason for it, They want Aamir Khan in it. Non Tamil actors apart from Nagarjuna who is main villain, has Upendra-Shoubin. Aamir has close to `15 minutes screen time. Finally a trailor is ready.

Rajini is yet to take call on Vivek Athreya movie. It is very tempting but he is getting pressure from certain people no tto accept Mythri or Telugu director. Mythri is terribly pissed off with Vignesh Sivan for postponing LIK to Feb 2026 . Mythri planned Dude for Feb 2026 now will be slotting it somewhere date . This has happened twice now earlier was Vidaamuyarchi- GBU and are not keen to work with Tamil Directors anymore.

While Rajinikanth is in two minds about Mythiri and Vivek, Dhanush has decided to not work with Shekar Kammula after Kubera response in Tamil. He is got a negative feedback from the Tamil OTT audience . However the film is globally trending on Amazon Prime. As of now, Kuberaa is placed on the 8th spot on Amazon Prime Video’s global top ten movies list, according to FlixPatrol. Leading the chart is the action-comedy Heads of State, starring Idris Elba, John Cena, and Priyanka Chopra, followed by the action thriller The Accountant 2, starring Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal in the lead roles. Other titles ahead of Kuberaa include Anthony Mackie’s dystopian flick Elevation, Jason Statham’s A Working Man, and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, among other films. An Indian film trending globally on a major streaming platform like Amazon Prime Video is not something which happens very often

Story; Veera (Pawan Kalyan) is a robinhood style diamond thief who catches eye of Kollur landlord who wants him to do a diamond heist in Golconda where things go wrong for Veera Mallu and his constituted team and Veera gets caught. Meanwhile in order to give back freedom and also a handsome diamonds reward Tana Shah Golconda king wants him to do one diamond heist one diamond for whole diamond quarry he says. What is that diamond? Why do they want only Veera? Will Veera agree to the offer? Is there any ulterior motive for Veera doing all these heists?

Positives

• Pawan Kalyan acting and his mere screen presence adds gravitas. He impresses us in role of outlaw and does decently well has savior later
• MM Keeravani BGM.
• First half is good with decent vfx. I can clearly say entire first half was directed by Krish Jagarlamudi.
• Fight sequences were executed properly in first half be it Bandar port fight, Kollur kusthi fight, Charminar scenes and interval bang.

Negatives

• Filler scenes in second half purely to make it to into two parts. Also those scenes were executed very amateurishly. Majority directed by Jyothikrishna ????
• Tacky VFX overall but it is far horrendous in second half. Very poor very atrocious in some places like-
• Aandhi
• wildfire
• Horse riding multiple shots.
• Wolf sequence
• Beaten to death savior aspect also done in cliche amateurish way barring Jizya scene in second half (Again directed by Krish).
• Unintentionally funny sequence - Heroine introduction and background reveal and further confusion. Niddhi Agarwal  waited for this role to help her career all this while.
• Cliffhanger looked very much like “yeh kya ho raha hain” sequence.

Abhishek has showcased his acting prowess in films such as Stree, Bhediya, Stree 2, Paatal Lok, Dream Girl, Dream Girl 2, Rashmi Rocket and Vedaa. Abhishek Banerjee is over-the-moon as his latest release “Stolen” is getting rave reviews. He says that at a time when the spotlight is largely on big-budget and  high-concept films, it feels good to see a content-driven movie connect with the audiences globally. Sources tell us that while the film went on floors in early June, Banerjee joined the unit mid-June. A source shares, “The project will see him in an avatar far removed from his gritty Hathoda Tyagi act in Paatal Lok [2020] and the goofy Jana from the Stree franchise. The crew has been shooting in Chennai with a crowd of 200 over the past 10 days.” The source adds that since Banerjee has spent his formative years in Kalpakkam, a coastal township less than 90 minutes from Chennai, the language came easily to him. “He grew up in Kalpakkam and knows Tamil. So, featuring in a Tamil film has been a homecoming of sorts for the actor,” says the source.

If things go as planned, the shoot will be wrapped up by August 10 for a year-end release.

 The question is Will Rajinikanth Coolie collect more than Rs 83 crores on opening Day and enter top 10 openers, In a clash with War 2, Coolie will suffer outside Tamil Nadu, which restricts it from entering the top 10 Indian openers of all time at the Indian box office. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan holds the 10th position on the list, with a day 1 collection of 75 crores. War 2 will easily join the list with a massive start, pushing Jawan out. With Jawan moving out of the top 10, Jr NTR’s Devara will ograb the 10th spot with 83 crores. To enter the list, Rajini’s film will need to surpass Devara, If Coolie maintains a huge  opening in all four States and an average opening in Hindi belt, it is possible. But trade puts it at impossible and here why

Due to Aamir Khan’s presence, Coolie will attract footfalls in the Hindi belt, but they won’t be that high as War 2 will mostly dominate in the Hindi market.
