Hip Hop Aadhi next with Vels Film International

Following the phenomenal success of 'Vendhu Thanindathu Kaadu', popular  producer Dr Ishari K Ganesh on behalf of his Vels Film International is now producing a film, featuring actor and music director Hip Hop Tamizha in the lead.

The yet-to-be-titled film is being directed by Karthik Venugopalan, who is known for having directed the film 'Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja'.

This will be the seventh film in actor Hip Hop Tamizha's acting career.  It may be recalled that Hip Hop Tamizha first became a music director before going on to become an actor.

Vels Film International, known for having consistently produced good films like 'LKG', 'Comali', 'Mookuthi Amman' and 'Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu' that went on to be both critically acclaimed and commercially successful, will be producing this new film on a huge budget.

The film, which marks the coming together of Dr Ishari K Ganesh -Hip Hop Tamizha and  director Karthik Venugopalan, has officially been announced. Other cast and crew members who will be a part of this film will be announced soon.

In the meanwhile, the first look of director Gokul's 'Singapore Saloon', featuring actor R J Balaji in the lead and being produced by Vels Film International, has evoked a fantastic response from the general public.

Bigg Boss Darshan film Nadu ready for release

Nadu' is a film jointly produced by Chakra and Raj under Sri Arc Media. Saravanan, the director who gave the superhit movie 'Engeyum Vamai', which is still in the minds of the fans even today, has directed this film. Famous actor Darshan has played the lead role in Bigg Boss, while beauty Mahima Nambiar has played the lead role.

Singambuli, Aruldas, RS Shivaji, Inpa and others have played the main roles. Composer Satya, who traveled with director Saravanan from the film Engyum Always, has composed the music for this film as well. National award-winning art director Ilayaraja has overseen the art design of the film for Sakthivel's cinematography. Pon Kathiresan has done the editing.

While the final stages of the film are in progress, the music release ceremony of the film was held at Saligramam Prasad Label in Chennai last evening.

Speaking at this event, director Saravanan said,

“Most of the characters in cinema these days are shown as very intelligent and intellectual characters. We moved away from that and made this film a story about simple people. In this film we are talking about the problem of hill dwellers. The shooting of this movie has been done in Kollimalai area. An incident which I saw firsthand during a visit to Kollimalay many years ago affected my mind. I created the story of this film focusing on that event which had been in my mind for a long time.

I never saw Darshan who played the hero in this film till he auditioned.. because I don't watch Bigg Boss. Even before coming to the audition they showed his passport size photo. But seeing him in person made him seem like the right person for the role. I immediately started telling him the story. Similarly, when coming to the workshop of this film, I have told you to buy a lungi and tie it instead of wearing a band shirt. Since then he started traveling daily with this story. That's why even during the shoot he was able to memorize all the lines without a script paper,” he said.

When cinematographer Sakthivel speaks,

“When I was told that the story of this film takes place in the backdrop of Kollimala, I definitely thought of making this a different film. Accordingly, we have shot in many locations that have not been set foot in the cinema so far," he said.

When art director Ilayaraja speaks,

“When I saw that the film was titled Nadu, I did not understand anything at first. Director Saravanan showed me 28 countries when I went to the shooting location. The people there are living as a nation in terms of society, language and race. At the same time, they are simple people.. They are not adivasis as much as I observed during the shooting days there.. I understood that we here are technological adivasis.

As music composer Satya speaks,

“It is easy for me to continue working with director Saravanan as I share the same frequency. After watching the film, I realized that it needed a lot of background music. We have to start work accordingly," he said.

Film editor Pon Kathiresan says,

“This film is my second film.. but I have been waiting for a film like this for eight years. When watching this film, surely everyone who sees the film will feel as if they have gone to that place,” he said.

When Darshan, the hero of the film, speaks,

“When director Saravanan told me the story, at first I couldn't believe that I was in the film. I have played the role of a young man born and brought up in Kollimalai. The heroine Mahima Nambiar Sr. shared many things about cinema with me without looking at my ego. Makima told me that normally I wouldn't do all this and cheered and praised me many times during the shoot. I developed a good friendship with the actor Inba, who acted with me in this film. People who saw us were surprised that we were so bonded outside than on screen,” he said.

When heroine Mahima Nambiar speaks,

She shared the interesting fact that she entered the film as the female lead.

“The director told me about this film for 20 minutes over the phone. Right then I decided to act in this film. After that I called him and told him that I am acting in this film. He also agreed without showing much surprise saying yes. When I heard that, I was even confused that maybe the narrator had mistakenly left it to me instead of talking to someone else. When I went to shoot, I immediately asked him why he chose me for this role. For that, I had prepared a list so that he could approach a few people to play this role. When I called all of them, you are the only one who respected me and answered back.. That's why I chose you as the heroine..

Cinematographer Shakti has microscope eyes.. So far I have acted in many films where I have played simple village characters so my make-up is also very simple. In this film, I played the role of a doctor as a little rich. If you put on beautiful make-up for that, he will remove it little by little saying that this is the character of the village doctor... he doesn't need so much make-up. As a result, every time I put on makeup, I wonder if Sakthi sir likes it. As for me, I worked in his cinematography with trepidation.

Although I have only one song in this film, they have given me a wonderful punch song to play in the wedding special houses. It has become a wonderful song in Deena Master Dance. Darshan-Inba's chemistry is better worked out in the film than me. Darshan, who is in the beginning as a hero, getting such a bold character will take him to the next level.

Talking about the producer of this film Chakra,

“Director Saravanan has said what the country means in his view. You will know it when you watch the film.

When actor Singampuli speaks,

"All the towns in the Kollimalai area are named after Nadu. Saravanan, the director of this film, has known him since he worked as an assistant to AR Murugadoss. I have always watched any film directed by him and thought that I should work with him in at least one film. Accordingly, when I got this opportunity, on the first day I went to shoot, I said that I am not coming to act in this film.. I have come to serve with you. I like his social concern to that extent.

No one has ever seen the full potential of cinematographer Shakti. You will see in this movie. During the shooting, special chicken broth is prepared for him.. There is a competition to eat it. Darshan, the hero of the film, carries a girl on his shoulder and runs to high places in many locations where the film was shot. The reason is because the shooting location is such a hilly area. Before this, I had witnessed the hard work of those heroes when I worked in the films Pitamagan and Naan God. That is why they are at the height they are today. I saw a similar sense of commitment in Darshan too.. Of course he has a good stature in Tamil cinema..

During the dubbing of this film, I used to sing a few lines during the dialogue break.. After listening to this, I thought that the music director would give me a chance to sing a song. Finally, the director gave me an opportunity to sing two lines in this film,” he said.

When actor Aruldas speaks,

“A lot of commercial films are coming. But it's the small films that take cinema to the next level in every era. This film will also get such a place. I would say that the makers are really lucky to have made this film as their first film. This is a film not only for Tamilnadu but for the entire world.. Hero Darshan has given his work with great dedication.. This will definitely be a hit for him.. But he should not change after growing up.

Ponniyin Selvan cast and crew thanks to media and viewers

'Ponniiyin Selvan Bhagam Ondru' released and is creating a new record both critically and at the box office. In this case, a ceremony was held at a star hotel in Chennai to thank the press for making the film a success. In this, Lyca Group Chairman Subhaskaran, Mrs. Prema Subhaskaran, Director Mani Ratnam, Actors Seeyan Vikram, Ira. Parthiban, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Leica's Tamil Nadu CEO GKM Tamilkumaran and others were present.

GKM Tamil Kumaran said, "We expected Ponniyins Selvan film to be a success. But did not expect such a grand success. Leica Group Peru is delighted to celebrate this success. Many stalwarts tried and gave up on Ponnyin  Selvan novel. Taking it in hand, we salute our brother Subhaskaran, the chairman of the Lyca Group, who was the main reason for making this film. While the production of this film was going on, he would listen to the information about it with interest every day. Although he has hundreds of ventures and businesses and has produced other films in film production, he has been concentrating only on 'Ponniyin Selvan'. As soon as 'Ponniin Selvan' was ready, Subhaskaran Anna and I watched the film. He spoke with full confidence that 'this film will be a huge hit' and 'this film will reach another level'. Apart from India, we released the film on our own in foreign countries. It was a huge success.

Director Mani Ratnam was the main reason behind the making of this film. Without him such a work would not have been possible. It makes us proud. We thank the journalists and media for making such a great success possible.

On behalf of Lyca Group Chairman Subhaskaran, we would like to thank the two stars, Superstar Rajinikanth and Global Hero Kamal Haasan, who participated in the music launch of the film and raised expectations for the film. On behalf of our company, we would like to express our gratitude to Sun Television Company for contributing to the promotion of the film 'Ponniyin Selvan' as their own work. Thanks also to the actors Chiyan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi and Parthiban who appeared as historical period heroes in this film.

Actor Jayam Ravi said, "Thank you to the journalists and media for taking the good work to the international level and recording great success. Not only Tamil media.. not only Indian media.. all international media are celebrating Ponnyin's rich work. Today everything is easy after the world has gone digital. What the media says about stars.. reaches us quickly and easily. All over the world this work has been criticized. Greetings. Mani sir is the root cause of all these. He has been providing artistic service in Tamil cinema for more than forty years. Don't know exactly how to celebrate the success of Ponnyin's Selvan. So happy. Congratulations to both Mani sir and Subhaskaran sir on their happy success.

At this point I would like to share something. After delivering such a huge success, director Mani Ratnam is sitting quietly. We should celebrate him. Everyone should talk with him in front of his eyes. He is a treasure in Tamil cinema. He should be celebrated in a grand manner. " said.

Actor Karthi said, "All the events that took place on the first day of the shooting of Ponniyin Selvan are still fresh in my memory. The whole experience from the moment the first scene after putting on the make-up was taken in a temple remains indelible in the mind. What is new is everyone working together as a family. Actors, technicians and staff all worked as a family and it was unforgettable. All these experiences have given me satisfaction.

More than this, the experience of traveling to each place as a team to promote Ponniyins Selvan film was new. This is not a film of Tamil cinema. Film from Tamil Nadu. This is an important post. We have taken this and introduced it all over India. As it is now Pan India season, we introduced this film not only in Tamil but also to the people who speak other Indian languages. Because we have such a compelling narrative work. There was also self-confidence when taking this to others. Correspondingly, there was a review of the film in every magazine. I would like to take this moment to thank all the journalists in Tamil Nadu, India and worldwide. Even the smallest things in the film were described and appreciated. I was happy to read all this. It was really gratifying to know that people's taste has improved through this.

Thanks to Mani sir for the magic of reading Ponni's Selvan novel and watching it as a film in theatres. It is not easy to bring the characters and the story that have been ingrained in the minds of millions of readers for years on the screen. No one can force Mani Ratnam to create this work. But Mani sir, I will carry the extra burden. Thank you so much for willingly agreeing to lift it, for taking responsibility and leading us all together, and for delivering a work for everyone in the world to celebrate. '' said.

Sayyan Vikram said, “I echo what Jayam Ravi and Karthi said. The response to Ponniyins Selvan has left us heartbroken. Press and media have been a great bridge from the beginning of the film. Like no other film, I visited every social media page like Twitter, Facebook for reviews about the film. Everyone posted something new. This surprised and delighted me. I was engrossed in it to the point where my family members were pettingly commanding me to 'come out of Bonnie's Selvan pramip and focus on the next film'.

After reading this novel for many years, they will be drawing in their minds about the characters in different ways. Everyone would have had an imagination for every character like Aditya Karikalan, Vandiyathevan, Kunthavai, Arulmozhivarman.. They all had a face. All those faces have now become our faces. Now when you think of those characters, our faces come to your mind. For this we express our humble gratitude to the creator Mani Ratnam.

As actors, we have appeared in many roles. But what is new is that we have transformed into a face that has long been in the imagination of the readers.. Actors always want to have a close connection with the audience. It is really gratifying to think that we have easily achieved that through this film. The love shown by the fans towards the historical characters has reached us today. A single word of thanks is not enough.

The joy is doubled when people who have not visited the cinema for forty years have visited the theater again for this film. However, they say that you should read all the five parts of Ponni's Selvan novel once again. After watching this movie, everyone is getting interested in reading, which is a great thing. All credit goes to director Mani Ratnam and producer Subhaskaran.” said.

Director Maniratnam said, "I don't know how to say thank you. First thanks to Amarar Kalki. Every reader who has read this novel will have every dream. I wanted to make it into a film. Thanks to everyone who allowed and approved this. Subhaskaran met them and said, 'I want to film Ponniyin Selvan novel'. He said yes in a minute. If he had said no, this work would not have been created. So I thank him at this moment. All the actors and actresses who acted in this film gave their cooperation as a family. This would not have happened without their contribution. Even during the Corona period, it is impossible to forget that he did not increase his body weight, but maintained it regularly and cooperated. I owe thanks to all the technicians and workers who worked on this film. It was only when the shoot was over every day that we came out and saw how many people were working so hard. At times this scared me. When everyone trusts me to work, I think that they should feel the responsibility and act accordingly. I would like to express my gratitude from the bottom of my heart to the journalists and media who have helped in the success of this film.

Lyca Group Chairman Subhaskaran said, “First of all thanks to Mani Ratnam for giving us the opportunity to produce such a monumental work. Mani Ratnam is a legend. When I was young, I had seen 'Dhalapthii' directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Superstar Rajinikanth. Both of them are my inspiration till date. He handled the pre-production and post-production work of this film very well. I would like to thank the technicians including AR Raghuman and the actors and actresses including Chiyan Vikram who worked for this film. On behalf of Lyca Group, I would like to thank everyone who made this film a success.

Meanwhile, in honor of Amarar Kalki, who wrote the novel 'Ponniyin Selvan', Laika Niravana and Madras Talkies have jointly donated one crore rupees to the charity named after him. It is noteworthy that Laika Group President Subhaskaran and Director Mani Ratnam presented it to Mrs. Sitharavi, the Trustee's Executive Trustee, in the presence of Amarar Kalki's son Kalki Rajendran in Chennai.

O3 audio launched

The song launch of 'D3' was held at Krishnaveni Theater in Chennai today. The details are as follows:

A suspense thriller film titled 'D 3' has been made with actor Praj in the lead role. The film is written and directed by Balaji. Produced by Manoj S and Samuel Gadson on behalf of Beemas Entertainment. J. Co-produced by KM Productions.
Manikandan has done the cinematography for the film and Sreejith Edavana has composed the music. Art Direction - Jayaseelan, Stunt - Rambo Vimal, Cinematography by Raja Arumugam.
Actor and Member of Parliament Vijay Vasanth, Nanguneri Assembly Member Ruby R. Manohar, Producers Sangam (Guild) President Jaguar Thangam, Director Mohan G, Actor Abhishek, Kool Suresh attended the audio launch of 'D3' as special guests.

Speaking to the film's music director Sreejith Edawana,

"So far I have been composing music for love stories. I have composed many songs for those films. I thought it would be better to do other types of films. That's when Balaji showed me some of the scenes he had shot for his film. I liked it. I understood that this is a unique opportunity for me and I have made good use of it," he said.

When director Balaji speaks,

"This is a story that takes place in a single day. We are planning to make D2 and D1 films in the sequence of this film. The story is based on an accident, a murder and a missing case. Small budget films require a lot of human effort.
We worked hard for this. The shooting was done 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We worked so hard. Praj's support and hard work for this film is immeasurable. Big thanks to producer Sam for making this opportunity possible. No one can come up easily in cinema. Laborers like Prajin have good development. There will definitely be a place for him. This film is being developed after overcoming various hurdles and hurdles.

During this filming, one person died during the covid period. We are standing here only after crossing a thousand hurdles like this.

This ceremony is happening today. But till yesterday the problem remained. This film tells about an important issue of the country. If you watch this film, you will even think of buying a bottle of water from anyone outside.

They say this is the time of horror films, but no one deliberately takes it that way. Only these types of films can be made on a low budget. That is why I have taken up this. It can be said that this is a story written in one night. A group of friends who used to be Bhimas Cricket Club has become the production company. Thanks to everyone who worked and cooperated in this film. Thanks also to Janis for helping to release this film.

When actor Prajin speaks,

"I have been running in cinema for 19 years. This run has been going on for 19 years. So far I have acted in 24 films. But I am still running. I have not reached my place yet. I am searching and running. None of the films I have acted in have not been released. I have never stopped halfway.

For the first time I have acted in a story involving the police. My father is a policeman and he speaks a lot about his field, so it was not difficult for me to act as a policeman. I have given my maximum effort in this film. I am running naked because I have asked the story for this film.

Today it is more difficult to promote a film than making it. We have made it possible as much as possible. Many people have cooperated for it. The posters of this film have been talked about. This film has definitely been a different experience in my cinema and television experiences. Shooting took place at night for many days. Everyone cooperated well.

We believe that if you want to do it, you will succeed. I liked this story. I am not stupid enough not to take advantage of a good opportunity. So I agreed to this film. I have worked as hard as possible and I request you to support me by watching the film," he said.

While actor and Member of Parliament Vijay Vasanth speaks,

"Sam and Mohan Raj invited me to this festival. When I see them now, I remember the Chennai 28 film experience. It was all about friends. It was a success with the alliance of friends. The same is true when I look at the people here. It seems like there has been a gap in cinema as I have gone into political work. .
I am doing the political work and business left by my father. I will give full effort in everything.
If you enjoy doing any job, you will be successful. If you work really hard, you can win not only in cinema but also in politics. I want to do anything with all my heart. I am in politics to serve the people. I am happy to participate in this film festival after some time. My best wishes to the D3 crew," he said.

When director Mohan Ji speaks,

"I don't know anything about cinema. I've never been an assistant to anyone. But I learned the hard way.
Prajin and I have been struggling a lot to show the producers something that we have taken before I shoot the old Vannarpet. At that time Prajin and I had a 70 mm camera and there was no hesitation. We wandered all over Chennai.
So he was coming with me for four years. I have come here because such a laborer has called me.

He is supposed to come across as a charming hero to the fans. Something is getting delayed. I couldn't use him in my subsequent films. Because the story does not suit him. That much has changed the trajectory of my films.

I am taking it as a problematic story. I have seen this film and he is amazing from the very first scene.

Making a movie and making a business of it today is no ordinary thing. We are facing obstacles and problems everyday. Even though we are struggling, we will not give up. After my two successful films, my next film, Bhagasuran, is definitely a successful film if it is released in theaters. 80 percent of the crowd is ready to come on the first day. I have that hope. However, it is being pushed aside for other business matters.

Everyone is acting well in this film. I wish this D3 film a hit for sure."

Nanguneri Assembly Member Ruby R. When Manohar speaks,

"I have attended many festivals. But this film festival platform is very new to me. I would say this is the first platform. It has been 20 years since I watched cinema. Now when I see you all, I want to watch cinema. When I see their work, people recognize it or not. But I will say that God will recognize your real hard work. Rahul Gandhi, who belongs to the family of former Indian Prime Minister Nehru, walks 3500 kilometers for the people of India. Notice how far he walks every day, how many people he meets, how many problems he faces. Show that in your films too."

When actor Abhishek speaks,

"This D3 is an important film for me. Good things happen when the timing is right. Mohan ji who is here is known for exciting films. I want to do a film under his direction. D3 director Balaji called me at the last moment. I have to come and come. He will shoot the scenes of the film. He did the choreography. He has all the skills to that extent.

My hair was a little long because I had acted in a previous film. He asked me to cut it short in this one. He was uncompromising to that extent.
Little Vijay looks like Sethupathi in Praj's performance. He definitely has a bright future."

Producers' Association (Guild) Chairman Jaguar Gold while speaking,

"I saw the trailer songs of the movie. It's awesome. It was like an English movie. Prajin has acted with dedication in this movie.

Mohan ji who has come here is helping many people without anyone knowing. His next film is already well anticipated in urban areas. This film is being made after many hardships. Hearing the hardships the producers went through was gut-wrenching. No producer needs to bother. Tell our association, we are here to support you.

The producers do not get the full amount of the film. People are watching Tamil movies in 110 countries all over the world.
No matter how hard it is in cinema, don't put scenes like drinking. Today 80% of the people in the country are drinking and ruining themselves. There are various types of addictions in the country. Alcohol addiction is very bad. I wish this film success."

When actor Cool Suresh speaks,

"I don't go easily for the promotion of any film. If I like the trailer of that film, I will go and congratulate. The director sent me the trailer of this film and said if it's good, come. I saw if I could tap it. But I was surprised after seeing the trailer. That's why I came to congratulate. Congratulations to the film crew," he said.
