Renigunta fame Director's next - Iswarya Murugan - a love story

 Renigunta and Karuappan was a novel viewing experience for movie goers. Now Director Paneerselvam comes with  Iswarya Murugan - a love subject. The second single was released. Ganesh Raghavendra who scored for Renigunta scores for the film.

Actors are Arun Panneerselvam. Vidya Pillai, Harsh Lalwani G. The film is made up of completely newcomers like Sai Sangeeth, Kundu Karthik, Deena, Raja, Sangeetha, Rajan, Deyvendiran, Nagendran.

Carnatic Divas Ranjani- Gayatri sing for Illaiyaraaja

 

Carnatic Divas Ranjani and Gayatri sang a song for Illaiyaraaja for his composition in the film Maayoonae . It is the title track for te film and lyrics are by Raaja himself. One of the lines -"You accept the task of not correcting Theora and lie down without stopping the temple wealth from being looted ..!"

Produced by Arunmozhi Manikkam on behalf of DoubleMine Productions, the film is scripted and produced in the new movie 'Mayon' mystery thriller genre. Directed by Kishore. Actor Tanya Ravichandran has teamed up with actor Sibiraj to play the protagonist of the story. Along with them, veteran actor Dato 'Radharavi, director and actor K. S. Ravi Kumar, Bhagwati Perumal alias Bucks and many others have acted. Filmed by Ramprasad, the film is composed by Ilayaraja.

The duo had sung for Server Sundaram whose music was by Santos Narayaann. The divas tweeted -  What an unforgettable experience on the day of Varalaksmi Pooja! Vanakkam Thamizhagam fame VJ Aishwarya debuts as heroine in Aathimika

VJ Aishwarya, who is far-famed for her groovy anchoring in various television shows including Sun TV fame Vanakkam Thamizhagam, is essaying the female lead character in this movie Aathimika..Anand Nag, who played Sasikumar’s younger brother in the movie ‘Vetrivel’ and an important character in ‘Premam’ and ‘Neram’, is playing the lead role. Dhamotharan Selvakumar, kick-starts his directorial venture with the movie ‘Aathmika’. He won ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Dialogues’ for his short film ‘Moodar’ in short film festival ‘ASIA AWARDS’ that had limited nomination of movies.

Kalai Sakthi is handling cinematography, and Saran Kumar is composing music. Rajesh is the editor, Karthi is the art director and Anand is the stunt choreographer. The film has been shot across the exotic locales of Chennai and Kodaikanal. Shedding lights on the film, director Dhamotharan Selvakumar says, “The entire film comprises young technicians, who have gained immense knowledge about technology by working in various short films. They have an intense passion for films, and we have made this film as a family. We have completed the film amidst severe challenges and pressures. We have shot the film even in the deepest remote locations, where the vehicles cannot travel. Shooting in these locations was a huge challenge as it was a habitat of Tigers, Wild buffalos, and many wild animals. I am confident that audience will have a new-fangled experience watching this film. I am glad and elated that eminent personalities of Tamil movie industry like Vijay Sethupathi, GV Prakash Kumar, Aari and Vedhika appreciated our first look, and came forward to extend their support to launching them on their respective social media pages. We are planning to release Aathmika in February 2022.”

Malayalam director Regish Mithila to direct Yogi Babu in Tamil fantasy

Rejish Mithila, a leading director in Malayalam cinema, is making a new film in Tamil with Yogibabu as the protagonist. Written, directed and produced by Regish Mithila, the film is set to become a full-fledged fantasy film. The puja of the untitled 'Production 1' was held in a simple manner for the film crew and celebrities to attend.

Yogibabu and Ramesh Tilak will play the lead roles, while Urvasi, Karunakaran, George Marion, Harish Peradi, Maruthu Patti (Kulappulli Leela) and Nagavishal will play the lead roles. The shooting of the film started with a simple pooja in Chennai. The crew is planning to shoot the film in Chennai, Rajasthan and other parts of India in a single phase.

MSSRF team met State MInister for Environment

Dr. G. Hariharan, Executive Director, M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF), led a team of scientists called on Hon'ble Minister for Environment and Pollution Control, Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Government of Tamil Nadu, Thiru Siva. V. Meyyanathan, today, 3rd December 2021.

The members of the MSSRF team were Prof. T. Jayaraman, Senior Fellow, Climate Change; Dr. Ramasubramaniam, Director, Coastal System Research and Dr. Parasuraman, Senior Scientists at the MSSRF. Dr. Hariharan and the team briefed Minister about the critical outcomes of COP26 at Glasgow and MSSRF work on Carbon Budget. The team also presented various publications and reports of the Foundation. 

Prof. Jayaraman, who was part of the Government of India team at CoP 26 at Glasgow, briefed the Minister on some of the essential outcomes of COP26 at Glasgow. He highlighted the importance of India's new commitments at COP26 made in the Prime Minister's High-level address as well as the context of the discussion on coal at the closing plenary of COP 26.

The team presented some specific proposals for advancing the work on climate change adaptation in the State, focusing on dry-land agriculture in the era of climate change, coastal protection through mangroves plantation, and the promotion and deployment of early warning systems to manage climate variability. 

The team also discussed the importance of mainstreaming climate risk assessment. 

Honorable Minister Thiru Siva. V. Meyyanathan, gave assurance of providing support to the Foundation to pursue programmes on climate change for the welfare of the State. Mr. Meyyanathan has accepted the invitation to visit the Foundation to look into the Foundation's proposals and work on climate change mitigations.

Tamil Literary Garden Award 2021 winners announced

Internationally renowed Tamil Literary Garden Award 2021 was announced . The Canada l based charitable organisation awarded  to following;

 Perundevi : native of Kumbakonam. she has been a modern Tamil poet and writer since the 1990s. So far 9 collections of his poems have been published. He has been involved in experimental poetry endeavors and has written numerous research papers. She has a unique style of poetry and stands out among poets. His English translated poems have also been published. He is currently an Associate Professor at Siena College, New York.

Fiction Award: B. Kanmani

Kanmani, who is widely known for her novel 'Idapam', receives the Fiction Award. He is a native of Thanjavur district. Completed banking and worked in a bank. Who then undertook intensive reading after optional retirement. He has written short stories and short stories. Over a quarter of a century of stock market trading experience and keen observation inspired me to write the novel ‘Place’. This novel, which was created in a new vocabulary by going into a field that no one had dared to say before, stands high in literary value. He receives this award for that.

Literary Achievement Special Award: PJ Dileepkumar

Lokadasan (Das) Dharmadurai, recipient of the Foreign Language Literature Award, is working in the field of computer information systems in Canada. He is a well-known writer. He left Sri Lanka due to the war and emigrated to Canada for many years. Thirty-two years later he wrote an autobiography entitled 'The Sadness of Geography'. His book 'The Tragedy of Geology' has been well received in English and Tamil all over the world. In this way he receives an award in the category of Foreign Language Literature.

Tamil Charity Award: Veerakathi Sudarshan

Weerakathi Sudarshan is a Sri Lankan recipient of the Tamil Charity Award. She was born in Velvattai, Nelliyadi, Karavetty in Sri Lanka. He holds a Master of Education and a Master of Education degree and is currently working as a Vice Chancellor at Hadley College. From the beginning he has been deeply involved in Tamil and Tamil education. He has served with a keen sense of duty with a keen interest in educating the students and their progress. The award is given to him for his unrecognized academic service.
