Good Bad Ugly USA solo HIT / Official ; Prithviraj in Kareena --Meghana Gulzar film

 Good Bad Ugly the Ajith starrer is the only film in the last week that did well in USA markets and this was a surprise as Telugu films and the Hindi film Jaat starring Jaat were the top favourites. Read on :

The most notable disappointment came from Jack, Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s much-hyped follow-up to his North American blockbuster Tillu Square, which had earlier stormed past the $2 million mark and cemented Siddhu’s popularity among Telugu audiences overseas.

Riding high on that success, Jack was sold for a premium by confident distributors banking on Siddhu’s rising stardom. However, after a string of delays and a tepid response from both critics and viewers, the film failed to make a splash. It opened to a modest $195,000 in its first four days and is projected to wrap up its run just above $200,000—well short of the $1 million breakeven mark. Industry insiders suggest the distributor may incur losses of up to 80%.

In contrast, it was Tamil star Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly that surprised everyone by striking gold. The film resonated strongly with Tamil audiences and raked in over $1 million in the US, turning out to be the weekend’s unlikely box office champ.

Meanwhile, Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi starring Pradeep Machiraju didn’t even attempt a North American release, skipping the overseas market altogether.

Adding to the gloomy trend was Jaat, the Hindi directorial debut of Gopichand Malineni and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Despite Sunny Deol in the ead and the backing of big names, the film tanked with a dismal $300,000

opening weekend, with critics dismissing it as formulaic and outdated.

Prithviraj Sukumaran also opened up about dipping his toes in Bollywood right after the success of L2: Empuraan. “When the script was narrated to me, I knew I had to do this. I was thoroughly absorbed by my character and what he brings to the table as the story progresses. It is layered and will definitely connect with the masses,” he shared.

As per the latest update by producers Prathyangira Cinemas, Good Bad Ugly has grossed $900K in North America in 3 days. This means there has been an impressive 85% growth in the last 48 hours. Today, Good Bad Ugly will officially hit the $1 million mark,

Unlike most Indian movies of 2025, including Sikandar and Sky Force, Good Bad Ugly is showcasing good trends in the international circuit. It has accumulated estimated earnings of 37.35 crore gross so far.

Good Bad Ugly is currently the third highest Kollywood grosser of 2025 worldwide. In three days, Ajith Kumar starrer has garnered 114.09 crore gross. Take a look at the box office breakdown below:

It is now only 22.32 crores away from beating Ajith Kumar’s last film, Vidaamuyarchi, and grabbing the #2 place among Kollywood grossers of 2025. The action thriller had grossed 136.41 crores in its lifetime. 

Bison makers let out a SpotifySpotify playlist picture. The playlist, which surfaced on Reddit and Instagram on April 11, reportedly featured a profile picture showing a couple kissing under a blue moon. Priya Prakash Varrier played a key role in the film Good Bad Ugly. Yesteryear’s actress Simran, too, made a cameo appearance. Interestingly, Priya Prakash Varrier danced to an old song featuring Simran. The song was “Thottu Thottu Pesam.” The original song featured Simian and Raju Sundaram.

In this version of Priya Prakash Varrier, Arjun Das danced along with her. The similarities between Priya Prakash and then Simran, Priya Prakash dancing and swirling her navel similar to Simran, have made people make comparisons and discuss them on social media. The song was an item number in Mammootty film Ethirum Puthurim directed by Ramani. The item song was planned with Rambha but as she demanded high, Simr Soundarya was replaced by Sangita as female lead. Music was by Vidyasagar.an was cast instead.

The Atlee – Allu Arjun project is not what was told to Salman Khan. We hear that Allu Arjun was told a subject which is one hero film and it was kept pending as there was issues over payment- profit sharing with Sun Pictures. Salman Khan project needed another hero and as prices were high for South heroes, the project was shelved. Salman himself has said about it and it can be revived later. The current project has only AA and it is not a reincarnation subject. The story moves simultaneously in two  universes.

Moving towards Prabhas Spirit, Kareena Kapoor is only confirmed actor to  play the baddie. Deepika Padukone – Mrunal Thakur for female lead , Unni Mukundan – Vijay Sethupathi, Sanjay Dutt (elder Brother ) are in talks. Once they are confirmed an official announcement will be out with a pooja.

There will be no summer release for Prabhas Rajasaab. The team is left with a little talkie part and the song shooting. Many CGI studios are involved with the film, and the output has been coming out well. Thaman is wrapping up the songs, and they will be shot as soon as possible. Rajinikanth tried to kill Gossip journalist reveals Disco Raveendran

 Malayalam- Tamil actor Ravindran known as Disco Ravindran in an interview says that Rajinikanth in his intial days was very depressed and angry. In a fit of rage, he broke a glass door at Chennai airport and was jailed. He said that on sets of Alibaba and Albhuthavilaku, Rajinikanth used to engage in  fights with stunt men who teased him. Ravindran says that Rajinikanth once tried to finish off a journalist who wrote gossip about him by trying to run him over by a car. Ravindran says that Raghavendra Swami made an impression on him and slowly the transition took place to spiritualism. Ravindran said that Rajinikanth and Mohanlal are God’s special child and they cannot be dislodged from the top position.

It was previously revealed that Allu Arjun charges 175 crores as a base salary for AA 22 X A6. Furthermore, he has struck a backend deal for a 15% stake in profits.

According to the report, Meghna Gulzar’s next film draws inspiration from real events surrounding the 2019 Hyderabad rape and murder case. The incident involved four men accused of raping a 26-year-old veterinary doctor near Hyderabad in November 2019, who were subsequently arrested and later shot dead by the Hyderabad police during a supposed reconstruction of the crime scene. In 2022, the Supreme Court determined that the encounter had been staged.
