Naga Chaitanya film bets bigger - Hollywood Producer joins Mohanlal film

Pre-production is as important as production, particularly for films that are based on real incidents and are made in original locations. Naga Chaitanya’s 23rd film to be helmed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vas under the guidance of legendary producer Allu Aravind who presents it. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to give a new experience to the audience across the country. For that, they adopted a new approach. To begin the pre-production, team #NC23 explored coastal Andhra Pradesh and visited K Machilesham village in Srikakulam. Producer Bunny Vas said, "The director was keen that we should not work on this story sitting in Hyderabad. We are taking this pre-production forward with a lot of care by studying the people and atmosphere." Director Chandoo Mondeti said, " Our pre-production begins now after coming to this village and observing every minute detail." Hero Naga Chaitanya said, " We are in this village to meet the characters, study their body language… know the texture of the village and understand their lifestyle." Taking it to the next level, team #NC23 took to the sea to understand the worklife of the fishermen. The entire journey is presented as a documentary called The First Cut Documentation. It’s an exciting expedition, we must say. Like never before in Tollywood, a hero visited locations and interacted with people, before starting the shoot. The makers of Vrushabha, which boasts of top actors like Mohanlal and Roshan Meka and that which marks the launch of Zahrah S Khan and Shanaya Kapoor on a pan-India level, have now roped in Nick Thurlow as the Executive Producer of their film. Nick Thurlow, who’s known to have produced and co-produced several Hollywood films in the past, acquired laurels for academy awards winning films like Moonlight (2016) and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) With Nick Thurlow now on board, Vrushabha merits itself as a superior quality film being made on the lines of Hollywood cinema. Indian 2 is 100 % complete and third part is 75 % ready and after ten days work and two songs in Spain, the third part is over. Shankar is now in Los Angles doing the VFX. The third part came after Shankar saw that he had 6 hours of footage with him and so he sat with the writers to shape up the footage and make it into a third part of the film . The director felt that the final conclusion would come through only with the third part. Producers have decided to release both parts in the same year and so the film will be a 2024 summer release.

MSSRF book on 'Biodiversity and Importance of Mangrove Ecosystem' released

the book titled 'Biodiversity and Importance of Mangrove Ecosystem' was released in Chennai by the Hon'ble Shri Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister of the Ministry for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. The book, authored by scientists from the M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF), offers a comprehensive overview of the mangrove ecosystem in India. It is now available for young readers in English, Tamil, and Telugu languages and can be downloaded from the MSSRF website (www.mssrf.org).

The book features captivating visuals and straightforward explanations to introduce various mangrove species found across India, highlight the medicinal uses of mangroves, and showcase the diverse wildlife thriving in the ecosystem. It also emphasizes the environmental benefits of biodiversity and uses graphic representations to demonstrate how mangroves aid in addressing climate change. During the event, the Minister acknowledged the importance of making such resources accessible to the general public in Indian languages. Additionally, he visited the MSSRF office and engaged in discussions with the scientists. Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Chairperson of the M S Swaminathan Research Foundation, stated, "MSSRF's efforts in coastal systems have focused on involving local communities in mangrove conservation. Without the economic involvement of the local community, conservation efforts cannot be sustained. Mangrove ecosystems are intricate and offer numerous livelihood opportunities while safeguarding coastal communities and sequestering carbon." Dr. R. Ramasubramanian, Senior Fellow of Coastal Systems Research, explained that the book aims to raise awareness among school-going children, enabling them to develop a better understanding of the mangrove ecosystem and its significance to humanity. The book covers topics such as mangrove distribution in India and worldwide, the diversity of flora and fauna, the impact of pollution, the role of mangroves in mitigating disasters like cyclones, and their economic value. The MSSRF focuses on mangrove restoration along the east coast of India, particularly in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, which is why the book has been published in Tamil and Telugu. The foundation intends to translate it into more Indian languages in the future.
