Director Jeethu Joseph has officially confirmed that the Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 will be the first one to hit the theatres. This means audiences will see Mohanlal’s character, Georgekutty, make his next move before Ajay Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar appears on the big screen.

The director further explained that the team behind the Hindi remake is waiting for him to complete the final script. He made it clear that the story originates with him and the Malayalam production. “They are waiting for our script,” he stated.

He also added a comment about the rights, saying, “If they try doing something on their own, we would have to move legally. But I don’t think they will do it.” This shows that the original creators hold the creative control over the story’s direction.

For a thriller franchise like Drishyam, the suspense-filled climax is everything. The first two films were famous for their game-changing twists in the end. Because of this, whichever version of Drishyam 3 releases first will naturally reveal the plot and spoilers. This was the main reason there were reports of a possible simultaneous release, but the director has now confirmed that will not be the case.

The thought behind this is to ensure a spoiler free experience for the viewers. “The power of Drishyam rests in the suspense and as it has happened in the past, there is a section that has already seen the version that arrives first. Everyone working on Drishyam want to provide the best experience to it’s audience, and not spoil the twists and turns. Drishyam 3 will be the final film of the franchise and what better than having an experience of chills and thrills without having an idea of what next,” the source concluded.

Having grown up in Ahmedabad, I first knew him as my Chief Minister during my childhood. Years later, in April 2023, I had the privilege of meeting him in person, a moment that left an indelible mark on me.

As an actor, stepping into this role is overwhelming yet deeply inspiring. His political journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, but in this film, we aim to explore the man beyond the statesman, especially his profound bond with his mother, who shaped his character and spirit.

From my own interaction with him, two words of him have stayed with me through life’s trials. In Gujarati, he said: “Jhookvanu Nahi”, which means “Never Bow Down.” Those words have been a source of strength and resolve for me ever since.

Maa Vande will release worldwide, in every major Indian language and worldwide.

The film will be helmed by director Kranthi Kumar CH. The cinematography will be in the expert hands of KK Senthil Kumar ISC, famed for his work on blockbusters like Baahubali and Eega. Adding to the film's grandeur, the musical sensation Ravi Basrur will be composing the score, while the editing will be managed by the renowned Sreekar Prasad. Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra Is Not An Entirely Original Film

 

In a popular YouTube video, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has been dubbed a completely original reimagining of indigenous supernatural creatures, and it has been said that, unlike Minnal Murali, it is not inspired by any Hollywood film. But that is not true. Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is clearly inspired by several Hollywood films.

Let us start with how Chandra obtained her vampire powers. The film does not draw from domestic mythology but instead relies on the clichéd trope of a bat bite leading to a viral infection. This origin story for vampires has been used in countless Hollywood films. A prime example is the Underworld franchise, often seen as the poster child of female-led supernatural action films, where the vampire species originates from plague-infected bats biting an immortal, creating the first vampire.

Similarly, in Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, a normal child is bitten by a bat and becomes a vampire, who later in life is known as Kalliyankattu Neeli. However, this does not make the origin story original. It could have felt more authentic if it had been rooted in domestic mythology. Other examples of bat-caused vampirism include Daybreakers (2009), Morbius (2022), and many more. In this case, the name Kalliyankattu Neeli is the only factor linking this character to the domestic mythology of Kerala.

Another borrowed element is the trope of killing a vampire by staking the heart, one of the most overused ideas in vampire films and series. The scene in Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, where Kadamattathu Kathanar stakes Chandra and she is later revived when the stake is removed, is clearly inspired by The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off, The Originals. The original vampires can be revived in that universe if a normal wooden stake is removed, while only white oak can permanently kill them.

So, it is clear that Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra draws inspiration from Hollywood. This is not a bad thing, but it is important to acknowledge that there are outside influences, just like in Minnal Murali. It is to be noted that this opinion is not a personal attack on the creator of the video mentioned above; we are simply pointing out facts that debunk its claims.

 Who Is Santhy Balachandran? Before the headlines celebrated her as co-writer of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, Santhy Balachandran had already carved a niche in cinema with unconventional performances. She debuted in Dominic Arun’s 2017 black comedy Tharangam alongside Tovino Thomas and became the only female presence in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Jallikkattu. Her Hindi debut came with Gulmohar (2023), where she shared screen space with legends like Sharmila Tagore and Manoj Bajpayee.

Rajini boldly addressed the period when Illaiyaraaja lost ground to rival music directors and added that including himself went to the new music Director. Coming Pongal is not just a fight between Vijay and Sivakarthikeyan but also the debut of Sreeleela in Tamil. We hear that Suriya has pulled out Karuppu from Pongal race. After making her Sankranti ( Pongal in Andhra) entry in 2024 with “Guntur Kaaram”, Sreeleela is all set to return to the festive race, this time with a Tamil film. Her Tamil debut, “Parasakthi”, has officially joined the Pongal 2026 lineup, aiming to make an impact during the lucrative festival season. Parasakthi” stars popular Tamil actor Shivakartikeyan in the lead role and is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Sudha Kongara. Scheduled for release on January 14, 2026, the film is a period drama in which Sreeleela plays the role of a student, marking a significant departure from her previous roles.

While her first Sankranti attempt with “Guntur Kaaram” did not translate into major success, industry watchers are curious to see if Sreeleela can shine this time in the Tamil market, especially during the high-profile Pongal season. Currently, Sreeleela has several projects in the pipeline, including the Telugu action entertainer “Mass Jathara”, a Bollywood film opposite Kartik Aaryan, and the highly anticipated Pawan Kalyan-starrer “Ustaad Bhagat Singh”.

 Real reason for Kaantha to back out from September 12 date is Mirai of Teja and week later of Pawan Kalyan’s OG. DQ however put the postponement as a generous gesture to Lokah as he did not want to interrupt its BO as he is the producer of both films. DQ wise decision to not have any ego issues and go for a withdrawal is wise.

Kaantha based on MKT the Late Kollywood hero will face comparison from a web series to be streamed from Sony LIV on same subject. While Dulquer heads Kaantha, The wen series Madras Mystery has Nazirya in the lead. Sony LIV describes it as The Madras Mystery – Fall of a Superstar: A historical crime drama featuring Nazriya Fahadh, centred on the rise and fall of a cinema superstar. Th It will be directed by Sooriyaprathap, and stars actors Nazriya Nazim, Natty, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Nasser, YG Mahendran. It is to be noted that Nazriya is back to Tamil after a really long time and will be making her Tamil OTT debut with The Madras Mystery. Set against the backdrop of 1940s, the scandal-driven period thriller is set to be revolving around the infamous murder of Lakshmikanthan and the trial which involved M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar and N. S. Krishnan as suspects.

Though officially Kaantha has ben postponed to give Lokah a free run, the real reason is that Mirai of Teja carries pre release reports that say that a blockbuster is on the way. Tollywood is waiting for BO of Mirai. Earlu reviews have give a big thumbs up. Telugucinema review ; “Mirai” succeeds as a visual spectacle. For audiences seeking a fresh take on blending mythology, fantasy, and superhero elements, it delivers enough entertainment. While not without flaws, particularly its predictable sequences and a noticeable dip in the second half, the film scores with impressive VFX, a devotional touch, and a well-balanced mix of elements. Overall, it makes for a good watch in theatres.

Theatrical. Pawn Kalyan’s  OG is scheduled to release worldwide on 25 September 2025 in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages. If Kaantha released on September 12, it would have been caught between two most awaited Telugu films. Lokah is adding numbers in Kerala mostly and a DQ film will not be a competitor but in Telugu States it will get swallowed by two biggies.

Teja Sajja and Karthik Gattamneni’s Mirai has been released in theatres worldwide amidst positive buzz, and the response to the film is superb. While the adventurous film is going great at the box office, fans observe that the songs have been removed from Mirai.
